M. Night, Howard and Bhavna
The Howard Stern Show for July 26, 2004

M. Night, Howard and Bhavna

Howard was on the Bulletin Board all weekend long. He was talking about the campaign and how everyone should vote for Kerry and he got a lot of positive feedback about that. Fred has yet to go on the board and Robin has only been on once. Howard's friend Wayne Siegel was on the board this weekend too and he kept talking to Howard (via the board) saying its' the real Wayne. Howard was like, "ok". He figures he better get Wayne an orange name before he explodes. Howard said Wayne is trying to use the BB to get laid. Scott DePace goes on the BB all the time to argue politics with people, but Howard isn't interested in that. DePace also went on this weekend to find people who want to play Xbox Live with him.
Howard dedicated today's show to a brave man and hero, Daniel Lewin. He was on the 9/11 flight that Mohammed Atta was on and was going to try to stop him from entering the cockpit. Daniel is a big, buff guy who was in the Israeli Special Forces and is one of those guys who know how to kill people armed with very little. When the hijackers started taking over the plane Daniel went to go stop them. He could have stopped all of them because they didn't have any guns, but as soon as Daniel stood up a terrorist, who happened to be seated behind him, quickly stabbed him in the back. Howard said Daniel seemed like a wonderful guy and was a hero and it?s a name we should remember.
Howard also lamented the loss of Eric Douglas who died recently of an apparent over dose in his apartment. Eric used to come on the show and was a great guy until he went crazy. But he was a good guest and had a tough life trying to live up to the reputations of his father Kirk and brother Michael. Eric went to Gary Dell'Abate's crazy bachelor party years ago and Gary walked in on him having sex with a hooker in the back room - and that was one of the tamer things that happened at that party! Howard still can't talk about that party in full, but it was a classic. Richard Beltzer walked out in the middle of it because it was getting so crazy followed by Howard who had to leave early it was so nuts.
Howard gave Props to Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer of NY who is planning on investigating why the Bin Laden family was chartered out of the country by the US Government shortly after 9/11. Howard said he's very curious about how this happened and let Senator Schumer know he is behind him on this one.
Howard played a clip from MSNBC where Howard Dean's former campaign advisor Joe Trippi talked about how people like Howard Stern are going to make a huge difference in this election. He said that Howard is swaying a lot of first time voters and that is what is really important. He also pointed to a website called www.votervirgin.com that also encourages first time voters.

Artie Lange was out in Las Vegas this weekend to do a gig and said he kept it very low key. His plane out of NJ was delayed three hours. By the time he got to Vegas he had to rush to get to his gig, so he had no time to drink before his show. The only drinks he had were the ones people handed him on stage. But then he gambled and drank the rest of the weekend and had a great time. He won $4000 from playing blackjack, betting about $200 a hand. On the plane he watched "Standing Tall" with the Rock, which he said had a predictable ending. Howard watched "Mystic River" last night and said it was really good, but it was also really depressing and he couldn't sleep because of it. He said everyone in it, Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon, Tim Robbins, everyone was
great. Robin saw the "Bourne Supremacy" this weekend and said that was better than the first. Howard is looking at a script fro himself now that he says he would really like. He'd costar with another guy, kind of like a dark buddy film. Howard said his costar is already cast and he's a real actor, someone Howard would really love to work with. Howard loved making "Private Parts" because they treat you so well on movie sets. They coddle your every need to make sure you are happy.
Howard told a story about how he and Beth saw this white, middle aged woman this weekend with a black baby and an Asian kid who she adopted. Beth says she sees her all the time and she is a lesbian who has a live-in partner who raises the kids with her. The kids always look so happy and they seem like a really loving family. Howard wondered how George Bush and others could possibly want to keep loving families like from being together just because they are homosexual. It's doubly insane when you consider the lives those kids probably would have led if they were not adopted by loving people like this woman and her partner.
Tabitha Stevens called in to tell how the date went with the brother and sister from Friday's show. Aubrey and Brandon are the siblings and they were on the phone too. Their date did lead to sex and Aubrey ended up going down town on Tabitha while Tabitha used her hand on Brandon. Everyone said it was a very weird experience and Aubrey is upset Tabitha didn't have time to pleasure her as well. Aubrey and Brandon tried very hard not to look at each other while they were both involved with Tabitha and they did not completely disrobe. Howard wants to put together a line up and see exactly who Tabitha would not have sex with. Considering she's been with Jeff the Drunk, it will be interesting to see who she turns down. We do know that Tabitha has said in the past that she will not do a black guy. Tabitha said she has just not been with one yet, that's all.
The great director M Night Shyamalan came in the studio for the first time. He had called in a few times in the past, but this was the first time he was on live. He brought his beautiful wife Bhavna with him and she reluctantly came on the air to say hello. Night is promoting his new movie "The Village" which opens everywhere this Friday. Night talked about his parents who have really, really high expectations for him. They are both doctors
and weren't thrilled about him getting into film making and are still hard on him. He said that when he found out he was going to be the first director to make the cover of Newsweek; his parents asked why he wasn't going to be on the cover of Time which has a bigger circulation. Night still lives in Philadelphia and has a 75 acre piece of land which he uses just to write. After some coaxing from Howard, Night's wife Bhavan came into the studio. Bhavna admitted that her parents weren't thrilled with Night's prospects when she married him because he was a film maker and probably wouldn't make much money. Bhavna revealed that it is very possible that M Night was her first, and only lover (although she didn't flat out say it, it was heavily implied).
