Video: Official 'Luke Cage' Trailer Shows Bulletproof Hero Kicking Ass in Harlem

Mike Colter stars in the upcoming Marvel series, hitting Netflix on Sept. 30

The official "Luke Cage" trailer is here and it's 2 minutes and 45 seconds of action-packed intensity.

Protagonist Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is not only a bulletproof bad-ass, he's also one of the Marvel Universe's most popular black characters, and after debuting last year on Netflix's previous Marvel series ("Jessica Jones"), he finally has his very own show.

In the newly released official trailer (above), we see Luke struggling to rescue Harlem from the clutches of a mafia don named Cottonmouth (Mahershala Ali). Clearly, the steel-skinned superhero will need to take a lot of bullets to the face to get the job done.

We also see the return of Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), the nurse who assisted the titular heroes of Netflix's first two Marvel series, "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones."

All episodes of "Luke Cage" hit Netflix just after midnight on the morning of Friday, Sept. 30. So, get ready to take a sick day.
