Many factors must be considered when choosing the right college: the quality of education, the campus atmosphere, and of course, whether or not it has an ATM for pizza. At least, that’s what Xavier University is adding to the conversation.

This past week, Xavier changed the game by installing a Pizza ATM in the lobby of Fenwick Place residence hall, allowing munchie-seeking students to purchase a hot, 12-inch pizza for around $10. The Pizza ATM can hold 70 pizzas at a time, is open 24/7, and dispenses pizzas within three minutes of ordering.

The concept may seem strange and exciting to American pizza-eaters, but the company who made the Pizza ATM, Paline, has been producing similar hot-food dispensers in Europe for years. With luck, Xavier will pave the way to an American pizza machine golden age.

The Pizza ATM is still in the testing phase, but will be available to students when they arrive at the end of the month. Start filling out those Xavier applications.
