Recent Stern Show guest Ed Sheeran captures the coveted Artist of the Year trophy

Stern Show regular Ed Sheeran took home one of the most coveted trophies of the night at Sunday’s VMAs, winning Artist of the Year. MTV’s 34th annual award show was hosted by pop star and former Stern Show guest Katy Perry who also closed the ceremony with a live performance of her new song “Swish Swish.”
The night’s big winner, though, was rapper Kendrick Lamar who had his name called six times throughout the evening, including for the top prize – Video of the Year.
