This year’s issue also features Kate Upton, Aly Raisman, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, among many others

Model Danielle Herrington made a splash on Tuesday when Sports Illustrated Swimsuit announced she’d won the coveted spot on their 2018 cover.

Danielle has been featured inside the swimsuit issue before, but this will be the 24-year-old Compton, Calif., native’s first time gracing the cover. Additionally, she’s only the third black woman to hold that distinction since the annual magazine debuted back in 1964, following Beyoncé in 2007 and Tyra Banks in 1996 and 1997.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” she said in a statement to SI. “I’m emotional, but I just want to say thank you to everyone who believed in me. I put in so much work for this, and I’m feeling very accomplished, happy and excited.”

Other models joining Danielle in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2018 edition include perineal favorite and last year’s cover model Kate Upton, U.S. Olympic gold medal winner Aly Raisman, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, the 19-year-old daughter of supermodel and past Stern Show guest Christie Brinkley.

When Christie joined the Stern Show in 2015, she covered a variety of subjects, including her modeling career, her relationship with Billy Joel, and when a woman should and should not wear underwear. She also spoke at length about her daughter Sailor, who was already modeling at the age of 17. Listen to a clip from the interview (below).
