As Tuesday’s Stern Show listeners might have already heard, SiriusXM has unveiled a brand-new satellite radio system.
CNET’s “Roadshow” published a recent YouTube video (above) demoing SiriusXM with 360L at the New York Auto Show. The new system comes equipped in the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 and boasts “more variety, control, and personalization than ever before.”
Some of the 360L’s new features include 4G LTE streaming, voice search, a live sports category, and personalized recommendations for sports, music, and even one's Stern Show needs.
“What they’ve done is redesign how you interact with satellite radio from the ground up. And that starts with how you find stations,” “Roadshow” reviews editor Antuan Goodwin says (above).
Antuan also explains how the 360L’s content navigation system could be of particular interest to Stern Show listeners. “For any station, there’s a new button called ‘Related.’ You click that and what it does, it goes and looks for other content related to what you’re listening to. So, for example, we’re on the Howard Stern Station and it shows us now a list of other Howard Stern episodes,” he says.”
“You can also click the available shows to see a list of over 7,500 back catalogue broadcasts,” he continues. “So, if you wanna listen to an old Howard Stern episode from 2016, you just find it in there and you hit play. It’s kind of like a podcast.”
