Action-packed sequel also stars Jamie King and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson

It looks like cinema’s most celebrated boxer will have to punch his way out of prison again in “Escape Plan 2: Hades,” available later this month.

The action-filled sequel once again stars Oscar-nominated actor Sylvester Stallone as Ray Breslin, a security consultant who must go to hell and back to reclaim a missing member of his team.

Helping him break into (and then back out of) the high-tech prison he helped create is returning star and fellow Stern Show veteran Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who plays a hacker named Hush, as well as newcomer Dave Bautista, who plays the Marvel hero Drax in “Avengers: Infinity War.”

While this marks Bautista’s first foray into the “Escape Plan” franchise, he and Sylvester Stallone have shared the stage before. Both appeared in “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2,” with Sly playing a ravager, just like Stern Show staffer Richard Christy.

When Stallone joined the Stern Show most recently in 2010, the actor opened up about one of his many other blockbuster action franchises in “The Expendables,” an ensemble flick he both starred in and scripted. Sylvester revealed to Howard he had written the film with the intention of gathering “the last of the tough guys … and to see what happens.” Thankfully, he seems to have found some more.

“Escape Plan 2: Hades,” also starring Xiaoming Huang, Jesse Metcalfe, Jamie King, and Alphonso A’Qen-Aten Jackson, debuts June 28 on Blu-Ray, Digital, and On Demand. Watch the official trailer (above).
