In the latest trailer for “Deadpool 2,” Ryan Reynolds’ foul-mouthed, mutant mercenary recruits a variety of different heroes to try and save the day, including a beekeeper. As unexpected as several of those pairings may seem, they're nothing compared to his newly revealed team-up with multi-platinum recording artist Celine Dion.
On Thursday, Celine debuted a music video for “Ashes,” an original song she recorded for the “Deadpool 2” soundtrack. The video (above) starts off normally enough, with the Oscar-winning songstress belting out one of her trademarked ballads on stage while bits and pieces of Reynold’s upcoming action film flash across the screen.
But things take a turn for the weird at about the 90-second mark after Deadpool is shown waiting in the wings. The irreverent superhero soon takes the stage alongside her, and delivers an interpretive dance for the ages while wearing a pair of high heels.
As of Thursday afternoon, the Canadian superstars' unexpected collaboration is the top-trending video on YouTube and has already been viewed over a million times on Ryan's Twitter feed.
