“Jessica Jones” villain David Tenant and Stern Show guest Juliette Lewis also star on the upcoming HBO series

July 26, 2018

Emmy-nominated actress Jennifer Garner and “Jessica Jones” villain David Tennant are an unhappily married couple who invite their friends to spend a weekend outdoors in the HBO comedy series “Camping,” written and executive produced by repeat Stern Show guest Lena Dunham and her longtime producing partner Jenni Konner.

The teaser for the upcoming show (above) gives a glimpse of Kathryn (Garner) and Walt’s (Tenant) dysfunctional relationship as they spend some time with Mother Nature as well as some of their friends and relatives, played by Brett Gelman (“Stranger Things,” “Love”), Bridget Everett (“Trainwreck”), and Oscar-nominated Stern Show guest Juliette Lewis, among others.

Based on a 2016 British series of the same name, “Camping” is Dunham and Konner’s first new project since their Emmy-winning HBO show “Girls” concluded in 2017. When the two sat down with Howard that year ahead of the finale, they opened up about their careers, shared secrets from the set of “Girls,” and even explained how President Obama’s daughter Malia Obama landed a gig as an intern. “Camping” debuts Oct. 14 on HBO. Watch the teaser (above).
