Actor will suit up as 007 one last time in April 2020

“History isn’t kind to men who play God,” Daniel Craig’s James Bond cautions Rami Malek’s villain Safin in the first trailer for “No Time to Die,” set to release in April 2020.

Craig’s final performance as the iconic spy before hanging up the tux begins with Bond quietly enjoying retirement in Jamaica before longtime friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) rings the bell for one last mission — rescuing a missing scientist.

“You’re the only one I trust,” Felix tells 007.

Amongst a steady stream of gunfire, explosions, and intense stunts, Safin isn’t the only one to give Bond grief in the captivating trailer. “Stay in your lane — you get in my way I will put a bullet in your knee,” rival agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) tells him. “The one that works.”

Under the direction of Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th film in the James Bond series has returning stars Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Ralph Fiennes as M along with newcomer Ana de Armas. Having confirmed recently that this will be his last appearance in the franchise, Craig first played Bond in 2006’s “Casino Royale.”

“No Time to Die” hits theaters April 8, 2020
