Elvis Costello Releases Wild Animated Video for ‘Mr. and Mrs. Hush’
Song hails from the Stern Show guest’s 2018 album, “Look Now”

Elvis Costello and the Imposters have released a colorful new lyric video for “Mr. & Mrs. Hush,” a song hailing from their 2018 album “Look Now.”
The animated clip begins on a shot of a castle made out of a keyboard adorned with protruding trumpets and a giant seeing eye—and things only get more outlandish from there. While Costello’s lyrics are straightforward enough, the cubist jack in the boxes, flying skulls, merry-go-round horses, lava lamps, and suits of armor lend the vividly colored video an otherworldly quality.
“Mr. & Mrs. Hush” is the latest single off “Look Now,” Elvis’s 30th studio album overall and his first with the Imposters since 2008’s “Momofuku.” He and the band will promote the effort this summer on a 13-stop U.S. tour alongside co-headliners Blondie.
As Stern Show fans will remember, Elvis sat down with Howard in 2015 to discuss his memoir, “Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink.” While in the studio the rock legend also opened up about several facets of his career, from songwriting with Sir Paul McCartney to a surprise performance of “Radio, Radio” on “Saturday Night Live.”
