"I finally came home to defend the only family I've ever known," John Rambo growls in the new teaser for "Rambo: Last Blood." It's been over a decade since the fourth film in the "Rambo" franchise was released in theaters in 2008, but now Sylvester Stallone's signature character is coming home to anticipating audiences.
In the new flick, weapons expert Rambo travels back to Mexico to battle a drug cartel who have made the grave mistake of kidnapping his friend's daughter. In a series of explosive action shots, Stallone promises that while his adversaries started the war, he's going to finish it.
When Sylvester visited the Stern Show in 2005, he told Howard how different the original script for "Rambo" was compared to what showed up on screen. The actor explained how he convinced the movie's producers to remove just about all of his character's dialogue.
“I said, ‘Here’s a good idea: Cut out all my dialogue, every line,’” Sylvester recalled. Check out the video clip from that interview (below).
“Rambo: Last Blood” opens Sept. 20 in theaters.
