David Spade accidentally invites a crazy woman on a weekend getaway and hilarity ensues in the official trailer for the upcoming Netflix comedy “The Wrong Missy.”

The comedian, late-night host, and longtime friend of the Stern Show stars as Tim Morris, a single businessman who has gone on two very different dates with two very different women named Missy: one is a train wreck (“Crashing’s” Lauren Lapkus) and the other is a former beauty queen (Molly Sims). Unfortunately, his character invites the wrong lady to accompany him on a company retreat to Hawaii.

“I may have gone a little overboard in bragging about you,” Spade tells the lesser Missy before introducing her to his colleagues (above).

“You’re obsessed with me,” Lapkus’s character responds amid a zany montage of cliff diving, swimming with sharks, and a possible threesome. “We’re either gonna end up married or I’m going to end up dead in a ravine somewhere. I’m down for either.”

Nick Swardson, Sarah Chalke, and Spade’s former “SNL” co-star Rob Schneider also appear in “The Wrong Missy,” which fellow “Saturday Night Live” veteran Adam Sandler produced.

Spade has sat down with Howard multiple times over the past few years and during a 2019 visit he opened up about having recently filmed “The Wrong Missy” on location in Hawaii, explaining he brought his daughter Harper with him and they spent some quality time with Sandler’s family. As a result, David eventually scored an invite to Adam’s daughter’s star-studded bat mitzvah, which also featured the likes of everyone from Adam Levine and Conan O’Brien to Dustin Hoffman. See a clip from Spade’s conversation with Howard (below).

“The Wrong Missy” arrives May 13 on Netflix.
