Many of music, film, and TV's biggest names will join forces later this month for “One World: Together at Home,” a global COVID-19 charity special.
The April 18 broadcast will be hosted by late-night icons and recent Stern Show guests Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert. Lady Gaga has curated a list of entertainers to appear at the star-studded event, including fellow Stern Show veterans Sir Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Finneas O'Connell, John Legend, Chris Martin, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and Alanis Morissette along with music icons Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Eddie Vedder, among others.
Organized by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization, “Together at Home” will celebrate healthcare workers around the world while also benefiting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund as well as local and regional charities providing food, shelter, and healthcare for those affected by coronavirus.
Other entertainers taking the stage include superstar Lizzo, actress Kerry Washington, country star Keith Urban, actor Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina, soccer star David Beckham, and singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves as well as Lang Lang, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Andrea Bocelli, Burna Boy, and J Balvin.
“As we honor and support the heroic efforts of community health workers, ‘One World: Together at Home ‘aims to serve as a source of unity and encouragement in the global fight to end COVID-19. Through music, entertainment and impact, the global live-cast will celebrate those who risk their own health to safeguard everyone else’s,” Global Citizen’s co-founder and CEO Hugh Evans said in a statement.
“One World: Together at Home” airs Sunday, April 18 on ABC, NBC, and CBS as well as multiple digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
