Howard noted that he got a ton of e-mails in response to his interview yesterday with Stevie Wonder and that they were all extremely positive. Robin pointed out that they were so caught up in the moment of having Stevie in the studio that they didn't notice a joke Artie told. Artie then repeated his comment, which was that because Dana has to see him naked, she was envious of Stevie's blindness. Artie acknowledged that he didn't want to push the joke too hard yesterday because he felt uncomfortable using that kind of humor around someone who is actually blind. Howard mentioned that many of the e-mailers said they got so emotional when Stevie was singing that they actually cried during his performance. Sal came into the studio and admitted that, while he was on the toilet, he heard Stevie doing "Isn't She Lovely," and that it got him emotional because it reminded him of the good times he used to have with his wife. Sal then called out Robin, who he felt started "acting black" as she said goodbye to Stevie. Although Robin denied Sal's assertion, he stuck by his impression of the situation. Howard added that before he left, Stevie gave him his phone number. Howard figured Stevie was just trying to be nice and that he didn't really want to hear from him, but that he might give him a call just to thank him for the time he took to come on the show. Robin informed Howard that he should definitely get in touch with Stevie, who she said seemed to be truly into him.
