When Jimmy Kimmel, who recently signed a deal with Infinity as a consultant to Adam Carolla's upcoming radio show, came into the studio for the news, Howard asked him if he has enough time to devote to such an endeavor.
Jimmy responded that the job doesn't sound very difficult, and that all he has to do is call Adam whenever he feels like he has advice to share about his show. Jimmy added that he'll probably wind up just being the person who phones Adam to wake him up every morning for the program, so he's confident it won't be too much of a burden on him.
Not Easy Letting Go
Jimmy told Howard that he took the redeye in from Los Angeles to see him. Jimmy went on to say that he's been feeling sad while listening to the farewell shows, but Howard pointed out that didn't mean much to him seeing as Jimmy cries at everything.
Howard did admit, though, that the reality of his move is really starting to kick in, and that he will miss some of the people as well as the familiarity he has enjoyed with Infinity the past 20 years. However, Howard then commented that whenever he gets emotional about leaving, he thinks about the shows he'll be able to do when he gets to SIRIUS, and he feels better every time.
Priorities Are in Order
After Jimmy told Howard that his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, wouldn't wake him up to have sex with him last week when she called into the show because he instructed her not to do so, Ralph got on the line to report that he's still having some trouble with "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
Ralph explained that although he likes it when Jimmy plays clips on his show and makes fun of people, he doesn't think Jimmy is a good interviewer. Jimmy replied that he had a hard time taking criticism from a grown man whose job it was to put moisturizer on another man.
