As David Spade was making his way into the studio, Howard commented on how funny the phone messages David leaves for him are.

Artie pointed out that leaving messages for celebrities is always tough, especially when you don’t know the person that well, because you don’t want to sound stupid.

Howard agreed, commenting that he finally gathered enough courage to call Stevie Wonder to thank him for appearing on the show two weeks ago.

Howard went on to report that he got Stevie’s voicemail when he called and that Stevie sings for two minutes before anyone can leave a message. Howard noted that he felt like he was getting his own private concert while listening to Stevie’s voicemail introduction.
