Howard mentioned that he also wants Sal and his wife, Christine, to sit down for a session with Dr. McGrath.
Sal came into the studio and told Howard he'd do it, but he was sure Christine would turn down the offer. In fact, Sal said that just last night at 11:30 he almost got thrown out of his house because the family's new puppy, a Cockapoo (a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix) named Cinnamon, relieved herself in the house and he refused to clean it.
Howard informed Sal that he didn't think it was a good idea that he adopted a dog and Sal admitted that it was an addition to the family he can't really afford. Howard remarked that Sal should've sat down with Christine, who, along with one of their sons, was the one who wanted the dog, and explain to her that given his salary, plus the fact that they have three kids to support, it wasn't the right time for Cinnamon to join their family.
After dispensing his advice, Sal pointed out that Howard should be the therapist on "Meet the Shrink."
The Other Sal
Richard entered the studio and reported that Christine accompanied them to their gig last weekend in Atlantic City and that he noticed a change in Sal's behavior because of her presence.
Richard recalled that during the ride to the show, Christine not only made him listen to her music the entire trip, but also played a prank on him by driving away while Sal used a roadside bathroom.
Gary commented that he spent four days with Sal and Christine during the summer when they went to Europe, and that he thought she was great.
Sal replied that he thought the same thing about his wife when he barely knew her and that's the trick she plays on people. Sal proceeded to call Christine on his cell phone in an attempt to get her on the air, but she hung up on him.
