Steve the Engineer, who's better known as Wood Yi, came into the studio to say goodbye.
Howard pointed out that he's been friends with Steve since they first started working together at Infinity 20 years ago, and that Billy West developed the Wood Yi character in the mid-1990s. Howard said that Wood Yi's voice wasn't the only thing he had in common with Woody Allen, because they both shared an attraction to Asian women.
Before playing some of Wood Yi's greatest moments, which included a prank call to a mechanic as well as a few of the many offensive questions he has asked Asian women, Howard pointed out that one of the best aspects of having had Steve on as a guest was how shy and uncomfortable he was on the air. Following Robin's reminder to everyone that Steve is a gun expert and a chef, Artie mentioned that he thinks Wood Yi is the funniest character in show history.
Wood Yi thanked Howard for all he had done for him, and noted that whenever people ask him what he's really like, he gives the following response: that he likes Howard, that Howard's a master of his craft and that Howard's an absolute "mensch." Howard responded that he will keep in touch with Steve and will also find out if Wood Yi can make future appearances once the show moves to SIRIUS.
