Ronnie the Limo Driver had Howard retire his favorite clip of all time this morning.
That clip was the time Scott the Engineer attempted to do 17 pushups in 1998.
Howard remembered that Scott was starving himself and working out constantly in order to meet the goal, and that he was acting crazy throughout the process.
Howard proceeded to play the clip of Scott's performance and the outburst that ensued when the total number of pushups he did was challenged.
Following the tape, Gary reported that Scott made $17,000 from the bet, but Ronnie thought the total was $31,000.
Tom confirmed Ronnie's figure, adding that Howard and Robin each put up $10,000, Dominic Barbara and Jackie $5,000 a piece, and that Fred chipped in another $1,000. Even though close to eight years have passed since the contest, Howard still questioned how Scott could take the money knowing he didn't do the requisite number of pushups.
Scott then came into the studio and defended himself by saying that the judge of the event marked him down for having done 18 pushups, which was one more than he needed to do.
Scott added that while his pushups weren't exactly works of art, they still were official enough to get the job done.
