Cliff Palette called in to tell Howard that he wants to march with him during his final broadcast, but that he'll need to find a place to stay.
Howard asked Richard Christy if he'd be able to put up Cliff for a night.
Richard replied that he likes Cliff, but that, since he doesn't know him that well, he wouldn't feel too comfortable allowing him to sleep right next to him on his futon (as is the customary practice for any of his guests).
Howard then wondered if Artie, who has hung out with Cliff in the past, could help him out. After Artie volunteered to pay for a hotel room for Cliff, Tom Chiusano announced that the gesture wasn't necessary, because the station would foot the bill for a room.
