Howard admitted that he was neurotic prior to the airing of the "60 Minutes" piece yesterday, and that Beth O. was forced to put up with him even though he was so miserable. Gary added that he called Howard yesterday at noon, and that all he wanted to talk about then was how bad he thought he looked on the cover of "New York Magazine."
Howard responded that he was, in fact, disappointed with the picture that the editors chose to use for the cover, mostly because he felt the photographer had much better options from which to choose. Howard went on to say that, although he doesn't want final approval over all pictures of him that are used in magazines, he'd at least like to see the choices and give his opinion before any decisions are made.
Beth O. called in and mentioned that the photo shoot she and Howard did for "Us Weekly," where they are dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Clause, came out well. Howard then reported that he had a perfect Saturday night with Beth, because they went out to dinner at 6 p.m., got into bed at 7:30 p.m. and watched "Batman Returns" before reading tabloid magazines until falling asleep.
