Howard couldn't beat his very sore throat two days in a row forcing him to leave the show this morning after the first commercial break. Howard thought his throat would clear up enough to do the show but once he went on the air he realized it wasn't going to happen today. He started to talk and his voice sounded low and gravely and Howard hurt a lot. Fred played the same Babe Ruth's farewell speech he played when Artie called in sick a few months ago and Babe only sounded slightly worse than Howard did this morning. Fred then played the voice mail Artie left when he called in sick and Robin pointed out that Artie sounded a little better than Howard did this morning. Howard and Robin had fun picking out all of Artie's coughs in the voice mail, and goofed on his comment that he was having a hard time talking since he was talking up a storm in the voice mail. Howard apologized to everyone for waking them up and having them come to work but he said he just couldn't make it through today's show.
