Howard read how Oprah was at Luther Vandross' bedside when he passed away a few weeks ago. Howard wondered how she always managed to be in the right place at the right time. He said the closest he ever came was when Gilbert Gottfried had an emergency appendectomy years ago, but Gilbert lived.
He also went to visit Al Sharpton when he got stabbed, but when he got to the hospital, Al was doing so well that he was wandering the halls. In fact, the only person he could think of that he could try this on was Grampa Al Lewis who's in his 90's now. Howard said the one thing he knew for sure was that if he was in the hospital, everyone was under strict orders to keep Oprah away from his bedside.
