Howard said another reason Artie's been having such a tough time is because he's always going to Yankees' games. However, Artie claimed he's only been to one game all year. Howard didn't understand how the Yankees could be in second place after they were so awful in the beginning of the year. Howard had also heard the Mets have recently been crowing about how good they are, but they're in last place in their division. Baba Booey said, although the Mets are in the basement of their division, the race is so tight that they could easily be in first place if they could just get on a winning streak. Howard asked about the Mets' Japanese pitcher, Kazuhisa Ishii, and wondered why people thought Japanese players are better than American players. Artie pointed out that Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners and the Yankees' Hideki Matsui, both of whom are Japanese, are two of the best players in the league. This lead Artie to point out that Matsui has the biggest head he's ever seen on a human being. Howard said another guy with a big head was Bill Maher. Howard was watching one of Bill's comedy specials over the weekend, and couldn't believe the size of his head. To make matters worse, Bill had pit stains which Howard couldn't help but stare at. In fact, he woke up Beth just so she could get a look at the size of his pit stains and head.
Artie mentioned one of his worst fears on stage was to get pit stains, so he usually wears a jacket when he performs. He said when you look like he does, you already have enough strikes going against you so you can't afford to have pit stains. In "Beer League," Artie has a love scene with his movie girlfriend, Cara Buono, although, Artie didn't think she was too attracted to him because the director had to remind her during it that she is actually supposed to like him. Howard recalled a similar situation on "Son of the Beach," when no one would make out with one of the show's stars. Because he produced the show, Howard was told of the problem, and said it was amazing that none of these women would do it, even though they'd get screen time and money. Eventually they found someone to kiss him, but Howard thought it was a bummer for the guy. Howard asked Artie if he got aroused during his love scene, and Artie said there was the beginning of some excitement in his nether regions. Howard said it was no secret to his "Private Parts" co-star, Mary McCormack, that he was aroused during their love scenes. He told her at the time he didn't understand how actors could control themselves – she told him not to worry about it since he wasn't a real actor.
