Howard mentioned that High Pitch Eric applied for a job yesterday as a waiter at Nobu. Eric was on the phone and he said the people at the restaurant requested he send in his resume, which he planned on doing. Howard talked about how Eric recently lost a job working as a bag checker at an airport because he made a bomb threat to a radio station.
Gary then said that Eric also got fired from a car dealership after he took off six weeks without his boss' permission. Howard told Eric that he could still get in serious trouble after a check he gave Dino, the guy who "gave" him a dinner at a restaurant, bounced. Howard thought the only reason Dino accepted the check in the first place was because Eric must've said he was a friend of the show. Dino called in and said that's exactly what happened. Gary told Howard that Eric does this all the time, and that he just got a call from someone at Cingular who said Eric was in the store trying to get free phones for the show. Howard brought up that Eric is just a guy who calls in and isn't even associated with the show. Gary felt people just assume Eric's just one of the weird people who works for Howard. The comedian Shuli called in to tell about the time Eric came to a hotel he was staying at and ordered two big meals from Red Lobster and that he didn't have to pay because he told the manager he was a friend of the show. Eric insisted Shuli was way off. He said that for starters the restaurant in question was an Applebee's, not a Red Lobster, and that secondly he knew the manager, and that's why he got the free grub. Shuli also said that Eric called him once to buy weed, and that the next day he complained that there was something in it because his head felt heavy. He added that Eric calls him 30 times a day without ever leaving a message, which means he has absolutely nothing to say.
