King of All Blacks called in to compliment Robin on the Manolo Blahnik boots Howard gave her for her birthday yesterday. He and his wife saw pictures of the boots on this site, and they couldn't believe Robin didn't like them. Robin said she liked the boots, but that she can't wear them because her calves are too large to zip them. Howard told her she can now go to the Manolo Blahnik store and get whatever she wanted. King guessed the boots cost about $2,000 and Howard said he was in the ballpark. King then asked why everyone thought Eddie Murphy was getting divorced from his wife. Howard and Robin didn't understand why the story wasn't getting more coverage, and Howard guessed it was because Eddie just isn't that big of a star anymore. He brought up that when he split up with Alison, the story was on the front page of the papers for a week, yet there was only one blurb about Eddie's situation. King reasoned that women start out loving their husbands, but over time begin to believe they are better than their husbands, which ultimately kills the relationships. King has noticed that even his own wife has recently been thumbing her nose at him. Howard mentioned how naïve people are to think that their initial feelings of romance toward their partners will last forever. He added that he's been with Beth for five years and even though there's a part of him that wants to believe their relationship will always be strong, they've agreed to take it day-by-day. Robin commented that most couples don't have those kinds of conversations, so Howard and Beth are ahead of the game.
