Howard started off the show complimenting Artie on his recent "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" appearance. Howard pointed out that Artie didn't tell anyone he was going to be on Conan's show and reasoned it was because Artie has a fear of not being funny. Robin mentioned that Artie stopped announcing his guest appearances on shows a few years ago after Stuttering John made fun of the way he laughed when he was on television. Artie noted that he rid himself of the laugh after John brought it up, so his insult was actually helpful. Howard thought the conversation between Artie and Conan was funny and natural.
Artie said this appearance was his 11th with Conan, so he was pretty sure that made him a regular. Howard read some e-mails from listeners who complained that Artie tells the same jokes over and over whenever he is a talk show guest. Another e-mailer added that if you take away alcohol from Artie, all you're left with is Scott the Engineer. Artie said he wanted to have a luncheon with the listeners so he could get to the bottom of their problems with him.
