After Pat sang "Drops of Jupiter," which was accompanied by only a piano, he admitted to Howard that he gets nervous whenever he appears on the show because of the fact that he has to be so honest for Howard. Robin then pointed out that, during Pat's performance, his eyes remained locked with Amber's the entire time. Howard again mentioned how attractive he found Amber, which led Pat to point out that her whole family, including her sisters, look that good. Pat went on to deny Howard's claim that "Drops of Jupiter" was written about his ex-wife, explaining that it was actually written about his mother, who died the year it was written. Pat added that a lot of the songs he wrote about his ex-wife have a different theme: how much money their divorce cost him.
