Putting a Positive Spin On Pat

The first call Howard took on SIRIUS was from a guy named Eddie, who said that hearing the show uncensored was making his day. Howard agreed, noting that he had felt dead on regular radio for quite a while because of the number of commercials he had to play every hour, as well as the censorship he faced. To showcase his new-found freedom, Howard proceeded to play a song parody using non-bleeped clips of Pat O’Brien’s infamous sex call. Following the song, George informed Howard that he hadn’t heard anything about Pat’s tape, and was then brought up to speed on its origins. After hearing about the call, George said that it was a good move for Pat, because it “humanized” him.
