Howard started this morning saying he didn't sleep well last night because Bianca kept him up, before mentioning the Mets seemed to be back on track in their playoff series against the Cardinals. Gary then came into the studio and reported the team got an important win last night in St. Louis to even the series at two games apiece.
After that, Artie acknowledged he wasn't rooting for the Mets, which led Howard to wonder why someone from New York wouldn't root for one of the city's teams, even if it wasn't the Yankees. When Artie replied he'd never pull for the Mets to win, Gary added he didn't want the Yankees to do well either, so he understood what Artie was saying. Fred then noted he was a Yankees fan as well, while pointing out, to him, there was nothing worse than a Met fan. Howard went on to admit he didn't get why baseball fans in New York were opposed to one another, before joking that Fred liked the Yankees so much he wished Cory Lidle's plane had flown into his apartment last week.
