Howard Remembers News Legend Ed Bradley

The show started with Howard recalling when he heard on Thursday that Ed Bradley had died of leukemia. Howard then noted he and Ed had “a really nice time together” last winter when he interviewed him for the “60 Minutes” piece about him. Howard acknowledged that, while he felt Ed was a little hesitant to talk to him during their first interview for the segment, he added they became much friendlier as the days passed. This led Robin to point out few people – in the public, anyway – knew Ed had cancer, which she thought illustrated the private life he chose to lead.
