The show started with Howard talking about the controversy that arose on the air yesterday around Scott DePace. Howard said he was listening to a replay of yesterday's broadcast, and admitted he found that everyone (especially Jason and Ralph) was overly harsh toward Scott, who was criticized for the way the studio lighting looked on Howard TV.
This led Artie to note he was "in the Scott camp" on how the show looked on television, and Howard agreed, pointing out that if he didn't think Scott was doing a good job he wouldn't be working for him. After playing a number of song parodies about both Gary and Robin – including the two from Rev. Bob Levy – Howard played clips from yesterday's "Wrap Up Show," of Jason and Ralph accusing Scott of being insecure, which caused Scott to walk out of the studio.
When the clips were done, Howard acknowledged there was nothing he liked more than hearing people on the show fight, and Robin added Scott was "on fire" during the exchange. Fred then pointed out he was most surprised at Jason's reaction to Scott's work, saying he considered him to be "a tender person" who would never resort to making such comments about anyone.
