Since it was time for Artie to make his choice, he eliminated the first contestant when he found out she was interested in becoming a famous singer, as well as the second because High Pitch Eric had told him to pick her. Artie added he was going to "go shallow" and picked the third woman, mostly because the other two girls had remarked in the contest about how "hot" she was. Howard then introduced Artie to Ruchelle, who was the first bachelorette, and then to the second one, Jenny.
When Artie saw his date, Stephanie, he thanked Howard for making him look so good given how hot she was. Artie then admitted Stephanie had "a Dana look to her," which caused Robin to moan, and proceeded to ask if she'd take a lie-detector test to prove she was really into him. Stephanie responded she would take a polygraph if that's what he wanted, as did the other two women.
As Artie and Stephanie continued to talk, Howard got his megaphone and, doing his Dana impression, told Artie she wasn't happy that he found "a younger version of her" on her birthday no less. Artie then made a move for his megaphone so he could mimic Beth, but Howard demanded he stay in his seat. Because of his standup schedule at Carnegie Hall tonight and his appearance in Boston on Saturday, Artie mentioned he'd take Stephanie out to eat tomorrow night for their date.
