Howard brought up the public argument Donald Trump and Martha Stewart are having about the latter's recent comment that she was hired by NBC "to fire" Donald. Howard explained that, according to what he had read, Martha was given her own version of "The Apprentice" with the notion that it would eventually replace Donald's show. However, Howard noted that when Martha talked about this earlier in the week, Donald retaliated by criticizing her both in print and on talk shows. Howard then played a clip of Donald on "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch" discussing the matter. In the interview, Donald claimed that he never saw any episodes of Martha's "The Apprentice" while he was promoting it, but that, once he did sit down to watch one, he said he knew right away it would fail.
Next, Howard presented a clip of Martha on her daughter's SIRIUS show addressing her feud with Donald. Martha explained that, like Howard said, she was under the impression Donald wanted to leave "The Apprentice" due to his hectic schedule and that her remark was "light-hearted" in nature. After Robin pointed out that Donald was using Martha's statement as a way of promoting his new season of "The Apprentice," Howard announced that Donald will be a guest on Monday's show. Because of this, Howard told Gary to get in touch with Martha's people to see if she will come in and try to settle her feud with Donald on the air.
