Howard began the show pointing out that he hadn't yet passed wind on the air at SIRIUS, before ending the streak into his mic. After Howard mentioned that he loved the smell of his own gas, Artie noted that he wanted to get his food away from the stench. This led Howard to wonder if Artie was enjoying his usual vending-machine breakfast, but Artie responded that he wasn't. Artie added that instead he brought in the last of the chicken sandwiches his mother made for him last week. Howard noted that the sandwich looked good, but that it probably had 10,000 calories because of the fried peppers and chicken in it, as well as all the amount of bread it contained. Howard went on to say that he listened to The Howard 100 News over the weekend and the man who fills the vending machine that Artie frequents explained during his interview that he used to fill it once a week, but now does it three times per week since the show began at SIRIUS. Howard then noted that, since Artie is supporting the vending machine as much as he is, he thought that his favorite foods should be kept in better stock. Artie responded, though, that the products he likes the most – Famous Amos Cookies, Peanut M&Ms and Hostess Cupcakes – seem to be everyone else's favorites as well, so other people contribute to their lack of availability.
