After Gary said that he turned 45 today, he mentioned that there was a different vibe backstage yesterday at "Late Show" than there usually is.
Gary explained that, for some reason, everyone was cleared out of the green room, so it was filled with only the people Howard brought with him.
Gary added that he didn't think the employees of "Late Show" cared that Howard was there to bash Leslie Moonves, largely in part because they don't have to work in the CBS building with him.
However, Gary noted that since Vinnie Favale was the buffer between Leslie and David Letterman, he didn't show up for the performance.
Howard reported that, after his interview, he ran into Dave's other guest, Carrie Underwood and that he could tell she was nervous about their encounter. Howard went on to say, though, that after he shook Carrie's hand, she seemed to calm down.
Howard then said that Carrie was attractive and pleasant.
