Howard announced that Jeff the Drunk was on the line, but when he put through the call, Jeff was sleeping.
After talking about Jeff's nonfunctioning arm and the fact that he still lives with his mother while he was dozing, Howard said that Jeff was breathing loudly because of how much he drinks and smokes.
Artie then recalled that Jeff once called in and reported that he had just be turned down by Starbucks after he applied for a job there. Artie went on to say that he thought the story was funny because Jeff assumed he wasn't hired because of discrimination and not because he couldn't prepare coffee due to his arm.
When Jeff woke up, Gary wondered if he ever looks for a job, which he said he doesn't. Artie then asked Jeff to talk about the time he applied for the job at Starbucks, but Jeff claimed that never happened.
However, Artie assured Howard that, while they were at KROCK, Jeff called in and told them his story. Jeff commented that he didn't do much yesterday, except drive his mother to therapy.
Howard responded that this was the part of the conversation with Jeff where he tried to convince everyone that his mom needs him. Upon hearing this, Jeff hung up.
