Jon played a clip of last week’s interview with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne that featured Sharon talking about how she arranged for members of Iron Maiden to be egged while they performed at Ozzfest. After the tape, Gary said that he booked Ozzy on the program and Sharon just showed up with him. Gary went on to say that he’ll book any of the Osbournes on the show because they’re so entertaining and that part of the fun of doing so is finding out which other family members come along. Ralph added that Ozzy was “on” during the interview, especially because he was so talkative. Gary explained that Ozzy was as open as he was last week because he was in an uncensored environment for the first time on the show. Gary then said that, because of the lack of censorship, talking to Ozzy on SIRIUS was like talking to him in his living room. Richard mentioned that Sharon having Iron Maiden egged onstage was big news in the metal world and he loved hearing the story. Gary pointed out that he was surprised to find out the Osbournes paid Iron Maiden $185,000 a night, noting that the total was “borderline charity.” Although Gary said that Iron Maiden was never on the same level as Black Sabbath, Richard claimed that the band can still sell out arenas when it tours. Jon then played a clip of Sharon talking about her sex life, both before and after she married Ozzy.
