After Jon played another clip from back then, this one of Howard making an announcement as WRNW’s program director, he then got to the conversation held on the show last week about who in the studio had the worst childhood, as well as a prank call Evil David Letterman made to Riley Martin. Following the second of the clips, Richard said that Riley was always “a homerun” because of his voice and he was proud of the call, which he set up. Jon then pointed out that the only time he’d seen Richard happier with his own work was when he recorded Mike Walker of the National Enquirer passing wind, which was the next tape he played. When the clip ended, Richard noted that he felt like he found gold he was so happy with the recording. Richard also gave credit to Will, Sal and Benjy for writing lines that were included in the Riley call.
