Following a break, Howard announced he received a call from someone in human resources who wanted Sal to apologize to Robin. Howard had Sal come into the studio to explain the situation. Sal began by noting that, with this incident, he had now been reprimanded by SIRIUS' human resources department three times, before giving his version of what he said during yesterday's "The Wrap Up Show."
Although Sal still believed he was in trouble for his remarks, Howard played the call from the woman who pretended to be the human resources employee – thus revealing the elaborate prank. Howard then explained he needed to let Sal in on the secret because he looked like he was on the verge of tears. After recapping everything that happened, Howard admitted he should've let the bit go on longer, but added he couldn't watch Sal get as upset as he was. Howard proceeded to take a number of calls from listeners who couldn't believe Sal fell for the joke, including one from Ralph, who pointed out Sal spends his days pranking people, yet didn't realize he was the victim of one.
Jessica Hahn called in and reported that Mutt even shut down The Stern Fan Network temporarily this morning so Sal wouldn't be able to discover what was going on. Sal insisted he does, in fact, have respect for all people, but stood by his feelings that having sex with a member of another race was something that usually only happens when you're drunk. Once Sal left the studio, Howard acknowledged he should've let the bit go on long enough to have Sal offer his apologies to the people at Shade 45, while both Fred and Artie pointed out that it seemed as if Sal still didn't realize what he said yesterday was racist.
