RICHARD AND SAL'S REJECTED BITS

During the first of Richard and Sal’s rejected bits, the duo talked to an author, Stephen Bastian, whose latest book was about how to enjoy Christmas. In the clip, Richard and Sal brought on “Special Ed,” who said he hates Christmas because last year he got “a black brother” for Christmas. Special Ed went on to make a number of racial slurs to Stephen, who ended up hanging up shortly thereafter. Following the clip, Gary and Ralph said they understood why the bit was turned down, but Jon admitted he liked it. The next rejected bit was a song parody Sal did called “Bad Smell,” sung to Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day.” Although Gary, Ralph and Jon all gave their approval to the song, Richard pointed out Howard didn’t feel the same way, which was why it never got any airtime. Gary, Richard and Sal then said they knew why Howard rejected another parody Richard did about JD’s trip to Hedonism, sung to the Eagles’ “Heartache Tonight.”
