Howard asked Artie how the New England Patriots ended up losing yesterday to the Indianapolis Colts despite having a 21-3 lead, and he responded it was a result of "some dumb plays."
Howard then wondered if Artie thought "a majority" of people turned off the game once the score got to be 21-3, and he said he didn't believe that was the case, even though Gary came into the studio to disagree. To prove his point, Gary noted he listened to two sports talk stations on his way to work this morning, and that a number of diehard football fans called in to say they had, in fact, stopped watching the game because of the score.
Because Artie had criticized Ralph's knowledge of football, Ralph called in to say he correctly picked both of the championship games this weekend. Given this, Gary asked Ralph to name five Patriots players, other than Tom Brady, while Artie asked him to identify the place kicker for the Colts and why he was important to yesterday's game. However, Ralph replied that he didn't know the answers to the questions, and that he simply "took things into consideration" when deciding which teams to pick when gambling.
Howard then mentioned he felt Ralph had obsessive compulsive disorder because of the way he always calls him back immediately after their phone conversations end. Howard went on to say he thought Ralph looked a little "pudgy" in his bathing suit at Bubba's wedding, and Ralph responded it was because he was "getting old."
