As Artie's breakfast was brought into the studio, Howard acknowledged he wanted the food because it smelled so good, while Robin couldn't believe how much bacon was on Artie's plate.
This led Howard to thank everyone at SIRIUS, and all the fans who moved to satellite with him. Howard closed out his impromptu speech by saying he still, whole heartedly believes that SIRIUS is "the future" of radio, and again expressed his gratitude to everyone for supporting him over the past year.
Gary then announced some of "the higher-ups" had a cake to present to Howard, and that they also wanted to take a picture with the entire staff. When Gary also reported Mariann from Brooklyn had been in front of the SIRIUS building since 3 a.m., Howard told him that she could come in only if she agreed to ride the Sybian.
Scott Greenstein, Tim Sabean and Ross Zapin, among others, proceeded to come into the studio to present Howard with his cake, which he replied was causing him to get choked up. Howard thanked Scott for bringing him to SIRIUS, to which Scott replied that he thought it was "clear" how well the company was doing, and that the number of subscribers SIRIUS continues to get backed up his view.
Before the cake was cut, Tim announced a replay of the first show broadcast on SIRIUS would be played immediately following this morning's program, and that the Top 10 moments of 2006 – as voted on by the fans – would also air later in the afternoon as well.
