Christine said she had a problem with Sal's tendency to "work" (check his email, etc.) when he gets home instead of spending time with his family. Sal admitted that he shut doors in Christine's face and "it'll take a long time to re-open them." Christine confessed that she didn't want her marriage to turn out like her parent's, with years of built-up bitterness and resentment, adding that she wants Sal to take an interest in conversations that aren't about him.
Sal complained that Christine goes to "sex toy parties" all the time, so Howard asked her who she thinks about when she masturbates. Christine answered that she doesn't masturbate. Dr. Keith thought Christine's fears have made her emotionally unavailable, but Christine asked why she should lower her defenses only to have Sal disrespect her. Sal then explained the ways in which his own father wasn't a good role model for him.
Dr. Keith thought Sal and Christine's difficult pasts proved that they share more than they know. Keith added that he didn't think Christine should be barred by Sal from talking with her "emotional friend." Sal said he wasn't so sure; Christine has already exchanged "private messages" with the guy behind his back. Howard told Sal that Christine's emotions can't be controlled; she has to learn that the guy's an asshole on her own.
Dr. Ablow suggested that Sal get Christine a "143" necklace and use it to spice up their marriage by directly confronting the issue between them...and help them get past it together. Sal then advised all listeners to never get married and told the crew that he would take his sons to Tijuana on their 18th birthdays to turn them into real men real quick. Everyone thought Sal was shooting himself in the foot after all the healing that had begun this morning.
