Bubba the Love Sponge stopped by to announce that his contract had been renewed by Sirius. Howard asked Bubba if he had put on any weight, so Bubba explained that he had, as his contract negotiations with Sirius have been "hell." Bubba promised to start working out with Hulk Hogan again soon, as they both had a lot of stress to leave behind in the gym. Howard then asked how Hulk was doing, but Bubba claimed he couldn't talk about it.
Bubba also refused to step on the scale, leading Howard to remark that Bubba was the bravest guy he knew who was afraid of his own weight. Howard played a few clips of Bubba trying to sound "black" back when he was working in an urban market, but Bubba insisted that he never discussed his race on the air. Howard then apologized for all the drama surrounding Bubba's contract and said he was happy that Bubba would be around for another year.
Bubba apologized to Tim Sabean and Scott Greenstein, the Sirius executives he's been negotiating with/against, and cited his timing as one of the biggest obstacles, as the tentative Sirius-XM merger loomed over negotiations. Howard noted that he got "a little heated" with the executives on Saturday because they were still trying to play hardball with Bubba when they were so close to an agreement.
