Howard’s Hyphenation Problem

Howard asked Beth if she would take his name when they get married, and Beth replied that she wanted to be “Beth Ostrosky-Stern.” Howard asked twice if that was what she really wanted, leading Beth and Robin to laugh that Beth’s first answer must not have pleased him. Beth noted that while she didn’t necessarily want kids, she did want more pets. Howard took issue with this as well, saying any more than one pet was too many.
