Howard got Mike Walker of The National Enquirer on the line, as he does every Thursday, to play "The Gossip Game," in which Mike reads four gossip items – three (allegedly) true, and one false – and the crew has to guess which one is the fake. Mike then read this week's stories:
1. Kiefer Sutherland freaked out when "24" staffers joked about his upcoming jail stint.
2. Regis Philbin insisted on redecorating his daughter's baby nursery in Notre Dame blue-and-gold – regardless of the child's sex.
3. A guy nearly stole Gwen Stefani's blouse while she was in a dressing room.
4. Tim Burton ordered a Batman checkbook holder and became angry when a Superman check holder came in instead.
Howard thought the Regis story was too ridiculous, and Robin said Kiefer Sutherland must have a better sense of humor. Artie, George, and Fred all disagreed, noting that Tim Burton was the better-humored celebrity. Mike then announced that Artie, George, and Fred were correct.
