Howard got Richard's dad, Tom, on the line to see if he'd be willing to teach Artie to hunt, which he said he would be happy to do. Tom pointed out he'd probably start Artie off with shooting quail before noting Artie's weight wouldn't prevent him from hunting. Howard then asked Tom if he'd consider voting for Rudy Giuliani if he ran for president in 2008, but Tom wasn't sure, although he acknowledged he'd probably support the candidate who wasn't anti-guns.
Howard turned the topic back to hunting, and noted how Tom had no problem eating squirrels and pigeons, but discovered Tom drew the line at rats. Tom went on to say he'd have to get Artie a hunting license, which Artie thought might be a problem seeing as he might still be a convicted felon. However, Fred reported he looked up online the law on the matter, and reported Artie wouldn't have a problem getting a license, but might not be able to carry a gun with him. When Artie asked if he'd be able to use a bow and arrow instead of a gun, Ronnie the Limo Driver came into the studio and said he used to bow-hunt for rabbits and squirrels. Ronnie explained that he considered hunting with a bow and arrow more of a sport than killing animals with guns.
Upon hearing that, Artie said he was looking forward to his hunting trip, and was also excited about visiting Tom in Kansas, recalling he hadn't been there in eight years.
