Sal, who wasn't at work the previous two days because of injuries he suffered after falling off the stage while performing with Artie over the weekend, came into the studio to talk about the incident.
Sal recalled he had consumed seven beers that evening, but insisted that had nothing to do with his tumble, adding that the beers were spread out over several hours. Sal went on to say he fell off the stage when he tried to exit, and that it had nothing to do with the Gary mask he was wearing at the time.
Sal added his face "smashed against the concrete" when he fell, but he immediately tried to get up anyway, not realizing what shape he was in. Sal then said he felt so much pain as he tried to get on his feet that he fell over again, and that he nearly passed out. Sal proceeded to cry and thank Tim Sabean, Shuli, Rev. Bob Levy and Artie for helping him get to the hospital that night.
As Sal discussed the medication he was on, Artie got into great detail about each drug he brought up, and also gave a brief history of drugs in America. Ralph then called in to acknowledge he was impressed with how much Artie knew about the topic, and Howard said he felt the same way.
Gary proceeded to get on his intercom to say people had been asking him if he got any pleasure from Sal's accident, which he claimed he didn't, not even before he knew the extent of his injuries.
The doctor who helped Sal over the weekend, also called in to talk about what happened, and acknowledged Sal was scared at first about having the drugs administered in his body, but that he eventually calmed down.
